The River and the Wall

I had the honor of working with director Ben Masters and a terrific team on The River and the Wall, a documentary that followed five friends as they descended the Rio Grande from El Paso the the Gulf of Mexico on bicycle, horseback, and canoe. Along the way they examined the impact a border wall would have on the environment, border culture, immigration and private property. I shot on the film along with five other very talented cinematographers, and was the primary editor.

The film premiered at SXSW 2019, winning the Louis Black Lone Star Spirit Award, appeared in over 100 theaters, and a number of film festivals, including MountainFilm, Hot Docs, and Jackson Wild, where it won a Special Grand Jury Award. The River and the Wall is currently streaming on iTunes, Amazon, and a number of other streaming services.
